Don't worry, nothing dramatic. But just letting you know.
This website has since it's launch, since January 2017 (the site's already a year old now!), been using puush as it's primary custom music hosting service - its short links and quick loading times at the time definitely made it the best option for the database. However, now Dropbox - a massive file hosting service pretty sure most of you have heard of - allows for mp3 sharing and hosting.
They've actually allowed this for a while, but I wanted to see how well it turned out; if URL's weren't changed, loading times weren't slow, and so on. And well, so far, there haven't been any issues with it! On the other side of the news, possibly to clear up server space, puush has started to delete files that haven't been played for over 3 months. Since puush isn't a major company like Dropbox is, I get that they don't have the money to pay for huge servers to host more files, but it can be a problem for this site.
So I've decided to move over all music URLs for the database to Dropbox: both for security, better loading times, and the music will stay up permanently, so you don't have to worry about music disappearing in your level - and it'll load fast and smooth!
But will this affect my old levels using puush URLs?
-Don't worry, not for a while! This change will NOT affect levels using puush URLs for their custom music until 2019, however it is highly recommended to update the links to the dropbox URL's to make sure they still work after that date. In 2019 I plan to fully finish the music migration to Dropbox for this site, so all Puush back-up links will be removed, which means 3 months into 2020, the custom music using Puush will be gone.
If you have any more questions, I'm here to answer!
